Explore the Fine Print Fair
During the Print Fair there will be demonstrations on print collecting, printmaking and papermaking. Most demonstrations are family friendly.
The following events will take place in the Ames Family Atrium.
Saturday, April 26
10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Jamison Art Conservation
Conservation consultations
Jamye Jamison, a Fellow of the American Institute for Conservation, will answer questions about the conservation and preservation of works on paper and advise on their proper matting and framing. The demonstration will include samples with different mounting and hinging methods to help collectors decide how best to protect and display their prints.

Kent State University
Printmaking demonstration
A family-friendly demonstration on relief carving and printing. Children welcome.
2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
The Morgan Conservancy
Papermaking demonstration
Visitors of all ages will learn and experience the process of papermaking by hand. Participants create their own uniquely decorated sheet of handmade paper to take home with them. Children welcome.
Sunday, April 27
11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Cleveland Institute of Art
Printmaking demonstration
Printmaking student from the CIA will demonstrate intaglio and relief printing on a portable etching press. Students will use pre-drawn copper plates and carved relief blocks in the demonstration. After the students ink the plates, the public is welcome to help crank the press. Children welcome.
2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Zygote Press
Printmaking demonstration
Zygote Press staff will demonstrate relief printing. Participants can ink a custom-designed block and use the press to make a print that they can take home after drying. Children welcome.
