Gallery Talk and Tour, Memory: Moshe Gershuni (Members Only) 6 p.m.

On our visit to the Congregation Mishkan Or Museum in Beachwood, we’ll join Katya Oicherman on a tour of the exhibition Memory: Moshe Gershuni. The project, a collaboration with co-curator Matthew Garson and the Jewish Federation of Cleveland, examines the work of the preeminent Israeli avant-garde artist Moshe Gershuni (1936–2017) through Kaddish, his extraordinary portfolio of experimental prints. In Kaddish Gershuni’s images accompany the Jewish-American Beat poet Allan Ginsburg’s lamentation over his mother’s life and death, embodying in their evasiveness the work of memory and grief.
